caught in the ever so exasperating rat race like so many others.

racing against time to get tutorials done;
racing against time to finish reading textbooks in time for exams;
racing against time to meet project deadlines..

or at least this is what i am going through ever since school started. four days in school can be summarised into: tutorial, project, lunch, dinner and my weekends at home: tutorial, tuition, sleep. something screams at me to start work when i sit down to read the papers, so i end up skimming through all the articles, absorbing less than 10% what i'm reading.

it's today, the sunday preceding my recess week, that i dont have to worry about incomplete tutorials and untouched projects. i can actually sit down properly and read Sunday Times for half an hour, have the mood to change my bedsheets and feel relaxed enough to start typing away in this white box.

i miss my bed, i miss my wardrobe, i miss my kitchen, i miss my pretty toilet, i miss watching tv, i miss having my parents stare at me doing work from my bedroom door, i miss having dinner at home, i miss the wind from my window..

a shoutout to all the people sheltered under your roofs: you freaking take things for granted.
